FERTILIDADE E GESTAÇÃO DE HOMENS TRANS: UMA REVISÃO SOBRE OS IMPACTOS DA TERAPIA COM TESTOSTERONA

Resumo
Introdução: Foram revisados os impactos da hormonização com testosterona na fertilidade e capacidade reprodutiva de homens trans, assim como os desafios psicossociais relacionadas à gestação. Objetivos: Revisar a literatura existente sobre o impacto da testosterona na fertilidade e contribuir para um entendimento mais abrangente e inclusivo desse tema emergente. Métodos: Foram incluídos estudos sobre os efeitos da testosterona nos órgãos reprodutivos e os impactos reversíveis ou não na fertilidade. Resultados: Embora a testosterona altere a função reprodutiva, há indícios de que a interrupção do tratamento recupera a capacidade de conceber, ainda que persistam incertezas sobre os efeitos a longo prazo. A análise também revelou a presença de barreiras estruturais no acesso aos cuidados médicos, como a estigmatização e formação inadequada de profissionais de saúde. Conclusões: A escassez de estudos sobre o impacto da testosterona na fertilidade e saúde gestacional de homens trans limita o desenvolvimento de protocolos clínicos. É necessário mais estudos e políticas públicas de inclusão, para garantir um atendimento adequado aos homens trans que desejam gestar.
